Audio Products Menu

The AM-300 Headphone Amplifier was designed to be used by the person who is holding a boom microphone so they can monitor the audio they are capturing.

(You can use the AM-300 to monitor other microphones, you are not limited to using it with a boom or shotgun microphone.)

The AM-300 Headphone Amp is designed to clip on your belt, keeping your hands free to hold the microphone boom pole.
The headphone amp features adjustable headphone volume, both a 1/8" and a 1/4" headphone jack, along with a power LED and a Power On/Off switch.

The XLR audio is passed through the AM-300 without amplification or distortion.  Only the audio going to the headphone jack is amplified.

Ideal for the professional boom mic operators.  For best performance, use headphones that are 8 to 32 ohm and with a SPL (Sound Pressure Level) of 112dB or higher.  The SPL spec should be listed with the headphones specs.

If you need XLR Cables for your AM-300 Headphone Amp or for you Microphones, we have XLR Cables in stock.

I just got back from working on a indie film where I was a volunteer to the audio guy.  He had the AM300 Headphone Amplifier from Studio 1 Productions, that he was using with the boom microphones.  After using it a few times, I decided i wanted one for myself, so I just placed an order for one.  This is a really great little box.  I was so impressed with it and how great it was to be able to monitor the audio I was getting with the boom mic."  Joan M. Email from Seattle, Wa.

"I found your headphone amp on the web a few months ago and ordered one to try it out.  I really like!  Nice clean audio pass through and very clean and clear audio going to the headphones.  I have been using several times a week for the last few months and I has worked perfectly everything."  Justin, Email

"Just finished using your Headphone on a film project that I have been working on.  All I can say it WOW.  Loud, clear and lightweight.  My headphones have a SPL of 116dB.  I about blew my eardrums out when I cranked the headphone audio level all the way up.  Excellent product."  Bill Phyzer, Chicago

"The Headphone Amp is just what I have been looking for.  This thing works great!  It is much smaller and lighter than other options for monitoring a boom mic.  Plus, it is less expensive!!  Way to go.  You have a customer for life.  Joel Holk

"Cool device.  The headphone amp is great for allowing my sound guy to monitor the audio being feed into the video camera.  I am a indie filmmaker and I really appreciate having high quality, low cost products for filmmakers and videographers."  Terry Crockett

"I was very impressed to see it passes the audio through the Headphone Amp so cleanly. I really having the choice of  1/8" and 1/4" headphone outputs, as I am in situations that I may need to use either headphone jacks.  I did run into a problem once, where I was getting low audio from the headphone jack.  Then I remembered, to check the specs on the headphones.  They only had a SPL of 102dB.  Once I switched up to a better set of headphones, the audio level for the headphones was just great.  If anyone every has this problem, just remind them to check the SPL level of the headphones."  Dan Wui, Honolulu, HI
