Installation Guide

Troubleshooting

Installing on a Windows 9x system, XP or 2000
The Interactive Film School requires QuickTime (version 4 or higher). Since many PC users don’t have QuickTime installed on their computer yet, we have included two versions of QuickTime with this package. QuickTime ver. 4 is located on Disk 1 and will automatically install if you don’t already have QuickTime installed. If you would like to use the newer QuickTime ver 5, then see the section titled "Installing QuickTime 5"
before installing the Interactive Film School. Follow those directions and return back to here.

1. Make sure you don’t have any other programs running.
2. Insert Disc 1 into your CD drive.
3. From the START menu, select RUN.
4. In the RUN menu, type D:\setup.exe and click OK (If D isn’t the letter of your CD drive, use your correct letter instead). You’ll see the Film School installation screen.
5. Click once on the button that says "Install Interactive Film School," then click OK in the dialog window. The program will install automatically.
6. The program will automatically install QuickTime 4.0. During the QuickTime installation it will check to see if you have QuickTime already installed. If you do and it is version 4 or higher, the installation will halt. Just click OK to exit.

Special Note for installing on a Windows 2000 or XP systems

3. Left-Click the Compatibility Tab.
4. Put a checkmark in the "Run in compatibility mode" checkbox.
5. Select "Windows 95 Compatibility" from the drop down menu.

When the error dialog window appears, hold down the ALT key and press the TAB key repeatedly until the blue box is around the movie projector icon. Then release the ALT key.
